Selecting a Domain Name Registrar

Domain registrars are companies, which sell you domains by registering them for you. Make sure you follow these rules while selecting your domain registrar:

1) – ICANN Accreditation: Go only with those registrar’s who are accredited with Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers. This will guarantee that they are legitimate operators.

2) – Expiration Date: Register your domain name for as many years in advance as possible and ask your registrar to inform you in advance if it is going to expire.

3) – Contact Information: You registrar’s contact information should be readily available, else simply move on to the next one.

4) – Hosting: Many provide some sort of hosting with domains, However, make sure you have all the necessary information you need before buying a domain name
